Nanyang Biologics is a Singapore-based start-up specialising in bio pharmacy research and development. Focusing on the development of natural products and biologics, a few formulations are already optimized, with a heavy bias on cancer prevention, treatment and remission. This is achieved through AI recommendation of nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals based on metagenomic analysis of patients. Following an earlier Research Collaboration Agreement with Nanyang Herbs and NTU, tangible results were uncovered such as a pending patent related to active compounds in a tropical plant, which were found to have potential for cancer treatment. NTU and Nanyang Biologics will be setting up a S$20 million joint lab to develop new therapeutics for chronic diseases using tropical herbs with Straits Biopharma set to commercialise the findings into a suite of biologics products and services.
